Gumtree enquiries often do not have a lot of information, unlike the other holiday rental websites, the fields are free text so they dont fill in a form with stay dates, guest numbers or other details.

  1. When a Gumtree email enquiry arrives, check for
    1. Name
    2. Stay Dates / Length of Stay - Short Term (3 nights to 1 month), Medium Term (1 months to 3 months) or long term (6+ months)
    3. Guest Numbers
    4. Requested Properties
    5. Requested Type of Apartment
  2. If there is not enough detail, directly reply to the email by pressing reply, and request information, if the enquiry has come from a specific property listing you don't need to ask for item 4 and 5, however if it is off a generic listing, then you will need to find this out.
  3. Once you have got this information you can use the property availability link to find availability, and use Seekom in order to send quote.
  4. It is really important that when you quote you copy the enquiry specific gumtree email address for email tracking purposes.
  5. If they wish to confirm, follow normal confirmation procedure.
